GREEN CLOUD TASK FORCE
Providing cloud services that are sustainable and climate neutral through highly efficient cloud infrastructure is a core value for CISPE. Our members, individually and collectively, are already leaders in delivering a digital economy that is also a green and sustainable economy. The Green Cloud Task Force is involved in several initiatives that seek to build on these foundations to set goals, provide data, and develop understanding that ensures continued progress on these critical objectives.
One such example the work done, in partnership with the EUDCA and the European Commission to develop a self-regulatory initiative to ensuring data centres in Europe are climate neutral by 2030. This initiative, now supported by more than 20 European cloud and data centre trade associations and over 90 data centre operators, was launched in January 2021. The Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact will guarantee that data centres are an integral part of the sustainable future of Europe. More information at:

The Task Force continues to contribute to a range of other regulatory and legislative initiatives including the revised Energy Efficiency Directive.
